Odd City Entertainment teamed up with Australian artist James Fosdike to release two limited edition Pacific Rim posters as part of a series of posters inspired by the film.

Limited to 75 prints – $65 each (original price)

Said the artist:

“Put a giant monster in a film and I’m there. Put a giant robot in a film and I’m there. Put them together and you’ve made me a child again. I’m so excited about this film and I am absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to draw a poster for it. When I saw the trailer, the image of the young girl on a deserted street watching the jets fly over really struck a chord in me. I was reminded of the films, cartoons and comics that I read and loved as a child. I wanted to know what caused that street to be deserted, what the girl was in awe of, and where the jets were going. Lucky for me I was able to find out, and to create my impression of what was in store!”

As you’d expect both sold out immediately but you can still get yourself one if you’re willing to buy from a re-seller.

At the time of this post there are 10 of these available for sale on Ebay – 7 are regulars and 3 are variants. Prices vary from a starting auction of $60 to a buy it now price of $150, all depending on the seller.

PACIFIC RIM Knifehead statue

Sideshow Collectibles have opened pre-orders for their Knifehead statue based on the Kaiju creature as seen in director Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim.

This will most likely become a limited edition collectible (although Sideshow have not yet decided on that).

From Sideshow:

A horrifying monster, codenamed Knifehead, rises up from the depths of the Pacific Ocean to annihilate mankind. Designed and developed in partnership with Guillermo Del Toro, the threat Category 3 monster comes to life with four sets of razor sharp claws and a monstrous headblade, capable of tearing boats, buildings and mechs to shreds. The Knifehead: Pacific Rim statue from Sideshow Collectibles is an outstanding introduction to your Pacific Rim collection.

This is one fantastic collectible with incredible detail that will, I’m sure, end up sold out (and I’m also sure Sideshow will make it a limited edition item hence why I’ve included it in the Limited Edition category).

Additionally, if rumors are correct about the next phase of Marvel movies, it may become an even more highly valued collectible if the Planet Hulk story line makes it to the big screen.
