Odd City Entertainment teamed up with Australian artist James Fosdike to release two limited edition Pacific Rim posters as part of a series of posters inspired by the film.

These two awesome 36” x 24″ posters were released online on July 15, 2013:

1. Regular Edition

Regular Edition – Limited to 175 prints – $45 each (original price)

2. Variant (sepia tone)

Limited to 75 prints – $65 each (original price)

Said the artist:

“Put a giant monster in a film and I’m there. Put a giant robot in a film and I’m there. Put them together and you’ve made me a child again. I’m so excited about this film and I am absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to draw a poster for it. When I saw the trailer, the image of the young girl on a deserted street watching the jets fly over really struck a chord in me. I was reminded of the films, cartoons and comics that I read and loved as a child. I wanted to know what caused that street to be deserted, what the girl was in awe of, and where the jets were going. Lucky for me I was able to find out, and to create my impression of what was in store!”

As you’d expect both sold out immediately but you can still get yourself one if you’re willing to buy from a re-seller.

At the time of this post there are 10 of these available for sale on Ebay – 7 are regulars and 3 are variants. Prices vary from a starting auction of $60 to a buy it now price of $150, all depending on the seller.

PACIFIC-RIM-Metal-Variant-Poster-Odd-City-Entertainment

Odd City Entertainment released three different 24″ x 36″ versions of this awesome poster by renowned artist Gabz Grzegorz Domaradzki:

  • a regular edition limited to 225 prints
  • a screen printed variant limited to 80 prints
  • a screen printed metal variant limited to 55 prints

Of the three the most popular and most expensive was by far the metal variant (pictured above) which sold out immediately for its initial asking price of $275.

To get one now you’ll be very lucky indeed. You’ll pay more than the initial asking price too. But if you’ve got the cash then luck is on your side because one of these now very rare metal variant posters is available for sale on Ebay.

The seller is asking for $599.99 but will also accept the best offer.

martin ansin mondo man of steel poster

This is Mondo’s limited edition poster for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel by artist Martin Ansin.

I can’t yet tell you what the limited edition number is because it hasn’t been set. Mondo will be releasing this poster on June 17 via a timed sale that will run for 3 days. At the end of the 3 days the sale will end and the number sold will be the limited edition number (no more will be sold).

It measures 24″ x 36″.

Already a number of these have been put up for sale in advance on Ebay. I really don’t know how sellers are able to do that, but if you want to check them out the link below will show you what’s on there.

Note that the prices on Ebay will always be higher than the price you can get one of these for direct from Mondo (which is $50). So, if you want one and you want to save yourself some cash, keep monitoring Mondo on Twitter for the sale announcement – that’s where they’ll let you know the poster has gone up for sale.

Here’s a picture of the metal variant which will also go up for sale at the same time (none of these are on Ebay). The metal variant will be $300 from Mondo and is limited to 130 prints.

Now that’s sweet!

Mondo THE BLACK BEETLE poster

Over the weekened Mondo released their limited edition regular version of The Black Beetle poster.

Limited to only 225, this version of the poster was released at HeroesCon 2013.

It measures 24″ x 36″ and is an 11-color screen print of artwork by Francesco Francavilla of Dark Horse Comics.

Like all Mondo posters this is already becoming a rare collectible, with just one of the posters from HeroesCon available for sale (via a flipper on Ebay) at the link below:

The price being asked is $160. That’s probably a fairly standard ask for a sold out Mondo poster.

However, there is still a chance you can get one of these or its variant (which is a 12-color screen print via a limited run of 110) for a cheaper price when Mondo open the doors to them via their own online shop. That’s going to happen on June 11, 2013 and the price they’re asking for is $55.

The chances of getting one during the rush when they do release it are low. It will sell out in minutes (if not seconds). But you can try. If you want to try you have to follow Mondo on Twitter for the sale announcement as they’ll be releasing the posters online at a random time and will announce it with a tweet.

You can view more detailed images of Francesco Francavilla’s artwork on the poster over at Mondo’s blog.

Mondo ARMY OF DARKNESS Randy Ortiz Poster

When Mondotees released this Army of Darkness poster by Randy Ortiz it sold out instantly (as do all posters by Randy Ortiz).

These are a limited edition item of 425.

They measure 36″ x 24″.

The good news is if you missed out on getting one you still have a chance.

There’s a few on Ebay right now with prices varying up to $150.

One seller, however, has one of these for sale with a starting bid of just $55. If you’re lucky you might snap it up at a price not too distant from the original now-sold-out-price of $45.
