Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit Trilogy has kicked off in New Zealand with the first film of the trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. In tune with the film’s premiere release Filmcells Ltd have released (and made available for preorder) a number of exceptional cool artworks containing actual strips of film clipped from the movie.

Despite having been filmed digitally, sources have confirmed these cells are authentic ‘real film’ from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Each framed artwork is quite individual given that the film cells vary from piece to piece as they are hand picked from reels of film. These are sure to appeal to movie collectible and Tolkien fans alike. Some are also Limited Edition items (read the description).

Here all the framed film cells for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey that have been officially released to date:

If you’re looking for a cool collectible from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and you don’t want to wait until January to get Thorin Oakenshield’s Key and Map Prop Replica set, then feast your eyes on this.

It’s Wizard Gandalf the Grey’s staff!

Modeled after the prop used by Ian McKellen’s Gandalf in the the first movie of Peter Jackson’s new The Hobbit Trilogy, this excellent staff prop replica is 73-inches long and made from hand-painted polyresin.

Manufactured by United Cutlery, the Gandalf the Grey staff is presented with an Elven styled wall display featuring Gandalf’s “G” rune, and it includes a certificate of authenticity.

I’m betting this will be one of the most highly sought after prop replica’s from the film.

As usual Entertainment Earth have it the cheapest at $149.99. You can get it at the link below:

Peter Jackson’s new The Hobbit trilogy has just kicked off with the first movie, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, being released in New Zealand. As these three films unfold, there’s little doubt that the prequel to Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is going to spawn some pretty sought after collectibles.

The Hobbit Thorin Oakenshield’s Key and Map Prop Replica set is one of them as it is an authentic screen-accurate version of the dwarven leader’s map of Middle-earth and key to Smaug’s lair as it appears in the first film, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Produced by the Noble Collection, this movie prop replica is provided on a display stand that measures 15-inches tall x 13-inches wide.

Though the movie is out in New Zealand, this collectible won’t become available until January 2013. Before then you can preorder it. The link you need is below where you’ll get it pretty cheaply:
